Three girls were released from Corton Vale Prison today...

ex presa | 07.07.2005 23:47

Three girls came out of prison today, the others are waiting for Court tomorrow.

On Monday there were a lot of people arrested in thedemonstration splitted in three in Edinburgh. 61 people had to go to Court on Tuesday, most of them got released with the obligations to leave scotland, sign every day in the police office of their hometown until Sunday or don't go to the centre of Edinburgh, to Stirling or to two miles around Glasgow. In the late afternoon the last ones who still didn't know what they were charged for (after more than 24 hours) and some of them hadn't even seen a lawyer until that moment, there came out a list of 18 people from the UK, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and France (maybe more nationalities...) charged for a long list of things that didn't happened in Canning Street or just stupid things like "sitting on the street". The bad thing is that all 18 awee caught out of Canning Street and they are accusing us of mobbing and organised riot. They were talking about this "anarchist group" and "black bloc" thing, using it as an evidence.

Today three of the girls got out of Corton Vale (nationalities: german, swiss, french) without any conditions or obligations. It is just like it never happened. There is no charges against us anymore, although even this morning they were still talking about the possibility to keep us in prison for further investigations until a time of four months!!! It is just crazy, having been in prison for four days FOR NOTHING and this decision shows how they are working.

The whole list seems to be like chosen by looking at peole saying "you", "you" abd "you", most of the people have never seen each toher before and only one got released on Tuesday, only because he had health problems. The lawyers knew before going to Court that there would be no chance for us to get out this day. Nobody knows what is going to happen to the four girls who are still in Corton Vale and to the boys who are in the prison in Edinburgh. All of them are going to Court tomorrow and there is the possibility for them to get out, because the G8 is finishing. But, like we know, at the last G8 summits they always picked somebody and made him a bigger process.

To give only some examples of the treatments on the last four days:
Arresting one of the girls the policemen turned round her hands making rythms with them and telling her "now it is our time to say This is what democracy looks like" and they started shouting this at her.
In the first police office on Monday evening there were cut hairs of one of the girls, wearing some dreads.
Waiting for the Court they didn't let us know what we were charged for and some of us haven't seen a lawyer until 5pm in the afternoon.
The police didn't do our two phonecalls of the people giving them the number of the Legal support Team.
etc etc etc

Being outside and in freedom it is soooooooooooooooo nice to see how amazing things you all can do in three days!! Thank you for the support. We were with you watching the live reports on TV - well done!
The prisoners can be given money, clothes and you can visit them. The phone number of Corton vale: 01786 832591.
So try your best to suupport them and help us whatever will happent tomorrow to go against all that afterwards!
Free all political prisoners!
Fuck the G8!
And go on against this non-existent justice in our countries!!

PLEASE TRANSLATE THIS TO EVERY LANGUAGE POSIBLE....I AM JUST TOO TIRED NOW! THANKS! More infos tomorrow...
