There was a good turn out in front of Shheffield Town Hall from 4pm on 11th January 2005 to oppose the threatened deportation of Mohammad Arrian.

Stop Creeping Fascism

"Stop Creeping Fascism because your liberty will be next!" were the words on the pavement.

Using chalk as our Kalashnikov and the drums of Sheffield's Rhythms of Resistance, the 2nd protest for Mohammad Arrian, came the night before Richard Caborn meets Tony McNulty on the 12th January 06 at the Home Office.

Organised CADU and Sheffield ASSIST, over 150 people showed their support for Mohammad Arrian with members of Sheffield Green Party and our local green Jillan Creasey along with other councillors from Sheffield Lib Dems.

There was also a song from a local folk singer, then a poem written by Mohammad Arrian was read out the protest was for one hour the message, as before, was: Keep Him Safe

Mohammed Arrian Will Stay

We Won! Just got this from Dianne at the conversation club............

YES !!!!!!!!!!!!

We've done it.

Arrian has been given ILR.

The family were told just before 5pm today. Mohammad will have to stay in Dover tonight (at least) while they sort the paperwork out. But he is coming back to Sheffield as a free man !!!

Thank you to everybody who has worked so hard to make a difference for Mohammad and for his family.

What can I say, I am grinning and dancing around the room.
This is the result we didn't dare to hope for.
